The RYA Competent Crew course is an immersive introduction to the world of yachting, tailored for complete beginners or those transitioning from dinghy sailing. Across multiple weekends, you will gain essential skills to confidently contribute as an active crew member on a cruising yacht. With hands-on training aboard a Beneteau yacht and expert instruction, you’ll learn the basics of seamanship, safety, sail handling, and more in a fun and supportive environment. Min. Duration: 5 Days/3 Weekends By the end of the RYA Competent Crew course, you will: Understand key sea terms and parts of the yacht. Steer and handle sails confidently. Assist in daily boat routines and safety procedures. Become a competent and dependable crew member.

Jero takes his vast sailing experience, including skippering a circumnavigation, and delivers top quality training courses in the beautiful waters around Manila Bay.
Day 1 The course takes you through the diverse sailing conditions of Manila Bay and Caylabne Bay. From the bustling harbors of Manila to serene anchorages in Caylabne, you’ll experience a mix of environments perfect for honing your skills. Expect varying winds, tidal influences, and picturesque coastal scenery, all while practicing essential navigation and pilotage techniques.
