Slow and easy following friends

Dragging the dinghy along behind with the motor on, it was like deploying a sea anchor! Layer out on foredeck enjoying the sun, mostly motor all the way

Arrived in Portland

Fantastic conditions for sailing the first half until late evening, until the wind stopped, which I was very ready for, after sailing hard almost 10 hours, The ocean is very flat by morning, I reached the lobster traps just as the sun come up, and wow, there seem to be a lot of them!

Home of the tall ships

Rough day of sailing, lost cushions, pole hooks and a fender! Wasn’t expecting waves that size! Great food in Lunenburg, the salt shaker, and the bbq guy right by the wharf! Nice town to visit.

Another long haul!

Close hauled for some parts, then directly on the nose, spent 24 hours bashing into waves, the sunset was beautiful

Putting the miles behind me

B building waves as the day went through, got to the canal around midnight, was able to float in the middle while they adjusted water levels in the lock and raised the bridge at the other end, was a very easy lock and lift bridge to go through, the channels down through to the Anchor, who were marked very well, Anchor, and 45 feet of water very thankful my good anchoring system! Very quiet night no waves very little wind got lots of sleep from 2 AM until 630

Easy sail into Charlottetown

Woke up this morning to the sound of lobster boats working around me, pulling up the traps, set sail, with a light wind on the beam for approximately three hours, the wind died completely, motored the rest of the way into Charlottetown, ice Marina it was nice to have good hands on the dock

Great day for sailing

Wow, what a beautiful day sailing! The weather was gorgeous. The wind died a little bit during midday, but came back as a strong 15 to 20 knot steady wind on the beam. The water was flat in the afternoon and sunshine all day long. Starting out the day, there were some large swells that got larger in the Northumberland Strait where it narrows, Even that gave an exciting ride!
