The RORC Easter Challenge is a unique RORC inshore regatta that offers crews the chance for some vital pre-season training and fine-tuning. The main highlight of the event (due to the relaxation of RRS41) is the availability of experienced coaches on the water to assist teams with getting up to speed. This will be our third year at this event, it’s always a cracking opportunity to upskill and we couldn’t miss it this year!
A brilliant early-season tune-up where the racing is sharp and the learning even sharper. With top coaches on the water and plenty of boats shaking off the winter rust, it’s one of the best ways to get properly race-ready for the season ahead.

Whether it is exploring the Caribbean Islands, racing around the Fastnet Rock, learning what on earth all this sailing malarky is on about, or just watching the sun go down with a cold beer/gin/wine. Sailing is an excellent facilitator of all of these. LSS was conceived in 2014, by our founder Ruaraidh Plummer. Inspired by instructing hundreds of Yacht and Dinghy training courses and seeing how the majority of students rarely put it into practice before forgetting everything. After teaching dinghy sailing in Vassiliki for 6 years and seeing how receptive people are to learning in a friendly environment, we’ve set out to help sailors learn from the ground up. LSS merged with Equinox Sailing in 2017 and was reborn from the success of this partnership in 2019, to better serve our community.
LSS have a knack for bringing in excellent instructors to run their certificated courses. They’re friendly and approachable, but also bring real depth of knowledge backed up by broad, real-world sailing experience.
