Join SV Sea Dragon for the ultimate ocean adventure—the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). This 2,800-nautical-mile voyage takes you from the sun-drenched shores of Gran Canaria to the turquoise waters of St Lucia, following the trade winds across the Atlantic as part of the iconic ARC rally. You’ll have time to get acquainted with Sea Dragon and your fellow crew before departure, taking part in ARC shoreside activities, exploring Gran Canaria, and soaking up the excitement of the start line. Once at sea, the passage becomes a true ocean adventure: you’ll be part of a small crew long days helping with sail handling, navigation, and watch-keeping while learning celestial navigation from an experienced offshore skipper. Crew members will share watches, handle sails, navigate, cook, relax, and enjoy being disconnected at sea. Upon arrival in Rodney Bay, you’ll have time to unwind, explore the island by land or sea, hike, snorkel, paddle board, and savor the fruits and warm waters of the Caribbean. You’ll also get to > * Participate in the mythical Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) and enjoy associated shoreside events * Gain offshore and blue-water sailing experience over a long Atlantic passage * Practice navigation skills, including celestial navigation if desired * Take part in all aspects of life aboard Sea Dragon, from sailing to cooking and watch-keeping * Explore St Lucia upon arrival, from Rodney Bay to Marigot Bay Sailing with Panexplore means joining a true ocean passage where the sea, wind, and weather dictate the journey. You’ll gain real experience in blue-water sailing, camaraderie, and adventure, finishing in one of the Caribbean’s most stunning locations. Our onboard cuisine is inspired by the places we sail through. Our galley follows a local & ocean-inspired philosophy — prioritizing local produce, coastal flavors, and fresh catch when the ocean provides. We can cater to specific diet, just let us know!
The ARC is the classic Atlantic crossing, and for good reason. Trade winds, blue water, flying fish and a finish line in St Lucia that feels like a reward for doing things properly.
