This leg leaves La Rochelle and takes the boat along the Bay of Biscay to A Coruña on Spain’s North west coast. This is a journey of approximately 450 nm.
A classic Biscay crossing from La Rochelle to A Coruña, where things can get lively and keep you properly on your toes. At around 450 nautical miles it’s the perfect hit of offshore sailing, with a very satisfying landfall on Spain’s rugged northwest coast.
Join the boat and meet the crew. Day 1 is primarily dedicated to preparing the boat and conducting the safety briefing. Whenever possible, we aim to depart on the same day, subject to weather conditions and maintenance requirements.
Departure There is a large chance we will be using Alcaidesa Marina in Spain upon arrival. Please ensure you have checked the proper entry requirements for Spain.
Our Mission is simple: Provide fun, safe and rewarding sailing opportunities at an affordable price. Not everyone can afford a racing yacht or has friends or family that can. This should not be a barrier to entry. We keep costs low by involving everyone in the process and showing them the reality of what it takes to sail and race offshore. Our goal is to get as many people as possible to participate and leave having had the experience of a lifetime. We believe in putting safety first and allowing everyone to experience offshore racing in a supportive environment. We’d like to finish top of the leader board but the individuals on board will always come first.
They offer a range of small group and authentic sailing experiences, from Caribbean cruising to Ocean racing, at a budget to suit most.
Your specific vessel is assigned based on your selected dates. All vessels meet our high standards for comfort and safety.
