Cowes Week is one of the UK’s longest running and most successful sporting events, and is a key highlight of the British sporting summer. It has been held in early August every year since 1826, except during the two world wars. The regatta has evolved enormously since 1826, and now between 800 and 1,000 boats race in up to forty different handicap, one-design, and multihull classes every day for eight days. It is this complete mixture of classic and ultra-modern designs that gives the regatta its uniqueness. Several classes that raced more than 50 years ago are still racing today; Dragons, Flying Fifteens, Redwings, Sea View Mermaids, Solent Sunbeams, Swallows, Victories and X-one-designs. New classes are also introduced as they increase in popularity. Around 8,000 competitors now participate, ranging from Olympic and world class yachtsmen to weekend sailors. The spectacle that the racing provides, together with the vibrant festival atmosphere attracts over 100,000 visitors to Cowes during the event. You can join us for a few days or for the whole week.
Cowes Week is an absolute classic, but what makes this offering so great is you can do as many or as few days as you like. Much like the regatta itself, it's actually built up of a number of single day events.
Day 1 31st July 2026 Arrival on the boat at 12 noon. After meeting your fellow crew mates, you’ll have a safety briefing from your skipper followed by training and preparations. Before setting off, everyone will also take part in cleaning and organising the boat to ensure she is ready for the regatta ahead.
Day 8 - Aug 7th 2026 Race starts approximately at 10am. Celebrate your efforts with your crew and the other participants while celebrating the Prizegiving and enjoying the final party. Before departure, we kindly ask everyone to help with a general cleaning and tidying of the boat.
Our Mission is simple: Provide fun, safe and rewarding sailing opportunities at an affordable price. Not everyone can afford a racing yacht or has friends or family that can. This should not be a barrier to entry. We keep costs low by involving everyone in the process and showing them the reality of what it takes to sail and race offshore. Our goal is to get as many people as possible to participate and leave having had the experience of a lifetime. We believe in putting safety first and allowing everyone to experience offshore racing in a supportive environment. We’d like to finish top of the leader board but the individuals on board will always come first.

What to Expect Professional Instruction Our Skippers are experienced instructors that make every crew member feel welcome and tailor their delivery to the experience and style of the crew Competitive boat Although the taking part is often fun, we believe the full experience comes from pushing ourselves to the max and competing with other boats on the water with a view to win High safety standards Maintaining and equipping a yacht to a high standard is not an easy task. No expense is spared in ensuring the best equipment is selected and repairs are undertaken quickly and proficiently. No Passengers Although we are happy to provide sight seeing adventures, this experience is a regatta so you can expect to be actively involved in sailing the boat, there isn't any rail meat on our boats.
