Quinta to Barrio Norte, Colombia
First hours of sailing were accompanied by a lot of wind. 25-28knt E winds. That night the winds died down and there was a lot of rain. We had to motor almost all the way to Linton Bay. Juan Bascones jumped on another vessel and left for San Andres, Colombia.
- Good condition, but almost no wind. - We had a new member on board, Juan Bascones. He was supposed to help us on the helm, but got very seasick and didn’t eat the whole trip to Albuquerque Key. - Still no autopilot, so same day and night shifts.
Crew: - Fransico Alcarria, captain - Felipe Paez, crew- able to take the helm - Omar, crew - Martin Llano, crew-chef- able to take the helm Day 1: Great conditions for sailing, 18-20 knt winds NE. Day 2: Around 17:30 we loose autopilot due to belt breaking. We start nightshifts of 1h on the helm and 2h of rest, then, 2h day shifts , 4h rest. Day 3: Arriving at Bocas del Toro without any problems. Easy anchorage at Marina Carenero.
