NauticEdGentle breeze to start, but favorable direction for navigating the channel on few tacks. Made the most of becalming half way in and made great time heading back with a steady 8kts of wind. Had full family + Anya & Joey. Somehow botched a balloon rescue mission.

Gusty, around 20 km. Caught a nice sunset, had a lovely first mate

Lovely wind, lovely sun, gentle seas. Water is cooling, swim ladder worked well enough.

Went out with Aaron and his bum elbow. Wind was 8-12kts, Aaron convinced me to fly the storm jib rather than #2 Genoa. I had trouble tying the tack of the jib, maybe I'll try a sheet bend next time. Hoisted the main as we fed the slugs, found the downhaul this time and got that taught. No reef line rigged, didn't regret it. Wind calmed on return, landed first try. Rolled main requires two sets of hands on either end of the voyage, not a fan.

First time on ER only because Wizard is out of commission. Had to get inventive in a number of ways, took forever to ready for sail. Baby fell asleep and woke up before we were ready. Was windier then expected, but nice otherwise. strong outgoing tide, waters very high. A bit gusty, main sheet trim was actively managed. The minute I handed helm to Liza and took baby, we got hit with a gust and she wasn't ready to ease! Not the relaxing sail I was imagining. Quick return but took many tries to land the mooring. Lessons learned: drop headsail into the wind with sheets fully trimmed inbalanced and use the boat hook to grab mooring line or pickup stick. Would have landed on first attempt rather than seventh!

Gentle winds, took forever to almost reach the open bay. First time slip berthing stern first, took many attempts and ultimately helped by dock lines in an awkward fashion. I need to do a better job briefing crew, establishing vocabulary and routines.

Gentle winds heading out, better and steady coming back. Had lunch hove to, took a dip on anchor. Lost a swim ladder, almost lost a pair of gloves.

Good steady wind, strong current where the channels meet. Swell not so high in the bay. Motored out to Rockaway channel and then practiced spinning clockwise in place. Current made for an obstacle. Unfurled the headsail and sailed for a bit before heading back and motoring around the mooring field and spinning in tighter quarters. Finally, landed on mooring on motor.

Good wind, hairy launch and exit from field. Short sail, soft grounded near Kingsborough, give it 40ft at low tide.

Gentle breeze, mostly single handing save for my partner pulling one side of headsail one handed with a baby in the other! Lil guy mostly behaved himself, didn't play with Woody as much as I'd hoped. Made it back to dock 30 minutes later than intending, home 60 minutes later... Perfect landing and picked up mooring line myself with ease.
