Didn’t get a chance to start log sooner. Came 2nd overall!!!

Would of come 2nd if not for penalty

We had a great start to the race. First night, we were parked at night behind volcanoes on St. Kids and Nevis, we didn't have any wind for two hours. We were trying all sorts of sails, trimming, etc. Nothing worked. Weather Genrally is up and down. Sun is scortchious. Last night, early in the morning, on our shift, rain started pissing we get socked. All the time, We are chasing, or we are chased. Now we are not moving at all this time we keep away from another live volcano on Montserrat but again wind dyed on us. Monsterrat is beautiful but can not look at it anymore, no wind at all wind indicator showing 0.0 wind. We dropped some of the sails to protect them as they bashed around . Saying that, I forgot to mention we damaged genoa 2. Suddenly, the wind changed and made a hole under the spreader patch. We had to peel genoa 3 and raipere damaged sail . And carry on sailing at the same time. All weather predictions were not accurate. Behind the Guadeloupe at night, we had creazy shift all possible weather within three hours from 25 knots in torrential rain to stand still for 6 hours. Saddly, then the decision had to be taken. Few of the crew would miss the planes If we carry on. We had to take these circumstances seriously, and we decided to return to Antiga. I'll be back I have to finish this race.

3-9 knots wind with 3 foot waves. Not enough wind to sail. Sea was flat and quite comfortable. Caught 5 Barracuda’s and threw them back. Read my book and chilled.
